A Night to Remember: Celebrating 20 Years of Capital Prep’s Mission and Impact

On August 7, 2025, over 100 supporters, scholars, alumni, and friends gathered at the Hyatt Regency Greenwich to celebrate 20 years of the Capital Preparatory model and mission at our inaugural CPREP IMPACT Event. It was truly a night to remember—reflecting on our journey, honoring those who helped shape it, and looking ahead to a bold future.

The evening was filled with powerful moments, including a moving keynote address from renowned speaker and author Iyanla Vanzant, and a heartfelt appearance by special guest speaker Elizabeth Horton Sheff, a lifelong advocate for equity and education.

Guests enjoyed an inspiring showcase of scholar artwork, a high-energy cheer performance, and emotional video tributes and shoutouts highlighting the stories and voices that define Capital Prep.
